As provided by BLR 9010-2, a non-resident attorney who is not an active member in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia, but who is a member in good standing of the bar of any United States Court or of the highest court of any State, may apply for permission to appear pro hac vice.

Instructions:
- Register for CM/ECF access
Prior to filing the Application for Admission Pro Hac Vice electronically, the applicant must first register for CM/ECF access in the Georgia Northern Bankruptcy Court. To register, the applicant should:
- Log into PACER using the applicant attorney’s PACER account.
- Select Maintenance
- Select Attorney Admissions/E-File Registration
- For Court Type select “U.S. Bankruptcy Courts” and for Court select “Georgia Northern Bankruptcy Court,” then click “Next.”
On the screen “What would you like to apply/register for?” select “Pro Hac Vice.”
Complete the registration form. At the end of the form click “Submit.” PACER will then notify the Court of the pro hac vice CM/ECF account request. The Court will provide the applicant with a limited access account to electronically file an Application for Admission Pro Hac Vice, pay the filing fee, and upload a proposed order on the application.

Complete an Application for Admission Pro Hac Vice and a proposed order granting the Application for Admission Pro Hac Vice. The application must be completed in its entirety and information therein is subject to verification by court personnel. A separate application must be made for each case or adversary proceeding in which the attorney requests to appear. The attorney designated as local counsel on the application must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia and a member in good standing with the Bar of this Court.
3. File the Application for Admission Pro Hac Vice electronically via CM/ECF in the appropriate bankruptcy case or adversary proceeding, pay the filing fee, and upload the proposed order. The order will not be entered until payment of the filing fee is completed.
- To File an Application Electronically via CM/ECF
- Log in to CM/ECF for Georgia Northern Bankruptcy Court
- Under the Bankruptcy or Adversary menu, select Pro Hac Vice Application
- Follow the prompts to select or create the party represented by the Applicant
- Attach the completed and signed Application for Admission Pro Hac Vice
NOTE: Once filed, the application will be restricted and may only be viewed by Court staff.
- To Upload the Order
- Under the Bankruptcy or Adversary menu, select Order Upload then Single Order Upload
- Follow the prompts to link the order to the Application for Admission Pro Hac Vice and upload a PDF version of the order
An ECF attorney account with full permissions will be issued after an order granting the Application for Admission Pro Hac Vice is entered on the docket.
