Building Security Checkpoints
- When entering the Courthouse in each division, be prepared to show a valid picture ID and pass through a metal detector.
Cell Phone and Electronic Devices
- No electronic devices, including cell phones, that have cameras or recording capabilities are allowed beyond security checkpoints in the Courthouse.
- If you attempt to bring a camera or recording device into the building, expect delays while Court Security Officers provide you with instructions on surrendering your device(s) for the time you are in the building.
- Members of the bar of the Northern District of Georgia who have an attorney photo ID card (also known as the “blue card”), are allowed to bring cellular telephones and other electronic devices with cameras or recording capability into the federal courthouses of the Northern District of Georgia without a court order.
