Notice to all GANB CM/ECF Participants of upcoming GANB ECF COOP test with interruptions to service, scheduled for Tues., 8/14/12
On Tuesday, August 14, 2012, there will be intermittent interruptions in the availability of Georgia Northern Bankruptcy's CM/ECF between the hours of 9:45AM to 2:00PM (Eastern Daylight Time) to allow the Court to participate in COOP (Continuity of Operations Plan) exercises. A message will be sent when the testing is complete. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
Want more details ? In order to be better prepared to handle an emergency situation, the Court is conducting a COOP exercise (Continuity of Operations Plan) which contemplates the primary CM/ECF server being totally out of commission. We will switch to our off-site replication server to ensure that all essential CM/ECF functions can be performed on that server as designed (known as the "fail-over" process). This procedure should be transparent to external users except for a small window of time when the internet addresses (IP's) will be changed between the production servers and the Replication servers. Changing IP addresses over the Internet is an extremely involved process but we anticipate that this delay will not be more than thirty minutes. During this delay the CM/ECF server will be unavailable for use. At 12:00 noon we will begin the Fail-Back process, and it is estimated to run thru 1:00PM. We estimate that this process will create at least one hour of downtime to ECF. It is our plan to return ECF service to you by 2:00 p.m., and, as mentioned above, an email message will be sent when GANB ECF returns to full operational status. |
