04.08.2011 Important Message Regarding Possible Government Shut-Down The Court will be open for regular business on Monday, April 11, 2011 even if Congress does not pass a budget or Continuing Resolution before the current Continuing Resolution expires at 12:01 AM on April 9, 2011. All hearings and meetings of creditors will be held as scheduled. CM/ECF will remain available to users. |

01.05.2011 NOTICE Due to an upgrade to network infrastructure for all of the U. S. Courts, our GANB ECF service will be down from 8 AM ET to 1 PM ET, on Sat., 1/8/11, with intermittent outages from 1 PM ET until 5 PM ET. Full service restoration is expected at 5 PM ET. During the 1 PM ET to 5 PM ET time frame, a user may not able to log into CM/ECF, or their session may be terminated. If either of these two afore-mentioned situations occur, it is recommend that a user wait at least 30 minutes before attempting to re-establish their session. |

*****TRAFFIC ALERT***** Extremely heavy traffic is predicted for Monday November 1st, 2010. The Get Motivated Seminar that will be held at the Georgia Dome on Monday November 1, 2010, beginning at 8:00 AM, is expected to cause extremely heavy traffic during the morning and evening commutes. This event will likely affect the downtown commuter traffic, parking and express way routes into the downtown area. Please plan accordingly. |

Currently we are experiencing technical problems with the Live CM/ECF server, resulting in an extremely slow CM/ECF application for both inside and outside users. We are attempting to resolve the problem and we apologize for any inconvenience. |

We will send another email when the Server is back in production. Want more details ? A secondary hard drive controller started producing error messages, indicating looming failure. A replacement part should be here today for installation tomorrow morning. |

Bonapfel and Mary Grace Diehl of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia have asked the Federal Judicial Center (FJC) to survey members of the Bar to assess the their level of performance. The survey is part of each of those Judges’ on-going commitment to provide the highest level of public service possible. The FJC is the research and education organization for the federal courts and is located in Washington, D.C. |

02.18.2009 The Court’s CM/ECF Administrative Procedures state that it is the responsibility of the party filing the documents to ensure that personal data have been redacted before filing. E-filers must use extra care to make sure that the PDF documents to be submitted to ECF are fully and completely free of any hidden data which may contain redacted information. The Clerk’s Office has created a guide for Redaction of Personal Identifiers, which can be found on the CM/ECF page of the Court’s website. Please click HERE for the guide. The Clerk’s Office does not endorse any specific method to “sanitize” a document, but we do offer some examples of ways to ensure that your documents have been redacted as intended.

03.21.2008 Announcement of Proposed Official Forms for Plan and Disclosure Statement A provision of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 required the Judicial Conference of the United States to design an official form for the Chapter 11 plan of reorganization and disclosure statement for small business debtors as defined in 11 U.S.C. § 101(51D). Pub.L. 109-8, Title IV § 433, 119 Stat. 110 (2005). The Judicial
Conference has approved these forms, and the Small Business Chapter 11 Plan/Official Form
25A and Disclosure Statement/Official Form 25B will become effective on December 1, 2008,
if approved by the Supreme Court and Congress does not act to the contrary. As the Committee Notes accompanying these forms make clear, both Official Forms are “intended to provide an illustrative format rather than a prescription for the language or content” of either. Although these Official Forms are not yet effective and will not be mandatory, they may be useful in providing guidance as to the information and disclosures required in such cases. |

Announcement for Form Stipulations To facilitate the preparation and presentation of consent orders to resolve motions of lenders for relief from the automatic stay to foreclose on real estate in Chapter 13 cases, the Bankruptcy Judges, other than Judge Murphy, have approved the use of a form stipulation on which the parties check boxes to select applicable provisions of their agreement and fill in blanks for variable items such as the property description, the amount of arrearage, and payment terms. The parties then attach the completed stipulation form to a proposed consent order that incorporates it as the order of the Court and present it to the Bankruptcy Judge for consideration and entry, if appropriate. 10.01.2007 Effective Monday, October 1, 2007, the National Archives will amend the fees it charges to reproduce public court documents in National Archives facilities nationwide. The fees are being changed to reflect current costs of providing the reproductions. This is the first fees increase in more than a decade. 10.01.2007 On Thursday, September 27, 2007, the Administrative Office of the United States Courts announced that the Electronic Public Access Fee Schedule has been amended to include court-appointed pro bono attorneys among that category of persons that a court may exempt from PACER fees upon the proper showing.
